Paper Plants first hit the scene when two old bandmates Ty Ayers and Steve Holtz found themselves in a rage of boredom due to the 2020 quarantine. The two began to track songs remotely and in 2021 they solely released the EP titled Disclosure. The pair decided to take a different approach on music than they were used to and involved a healthy amount of synth, drum loops and layers of harmony provided by Ayers.
Once the venues started to open up, the pair decided it was time to do what they did best, hit the stage. At a near sold out first show the pair introduce new members. Joe Scott, on the guitar, for one. Joe added a new element of vocal harmonies and his own rendition to the songs previously recorded.
After a half dozen shows, the band relesed the EP Don't Try To Save me, a heavier approach to what they started before.
Soon, with a new bass player in tow, Dawg, they looked back at their old roots and released the single "I'll See You Around" as their most viewed/steamed song to date.
With the solid line up, they get back to action mid 2024 in a city near you.
